THE POWER OF UNCONVENTIONAL POWER

Your unique power is welcome, needed, and cherished here.

There are many different kinds of power.

In fact, we all have our own unique flavor(s).

I've noticed though, that a certain kind of power is prized -

The Big Bold Loud POWERFUL POWER. The in your face power. The I AM SO CONFIDENT power.

Especially in the online space - it is everywhere.

And that kind of power can be amazing, necessary, fun, exciting, POWERFUL!

I want to give a shout out though to the ones who are quieter, who have a different power.

The observers.

The people in the room listening deeply, watching, and waiting before you speak.

The power that is soft, the power that relaxes rather than rises.

The power that is intrinsic and deep.

The kind of power that is felt in your bones.

The kind of power that allows for cycles, for darkness and for light, the space for it all.

The power that feels like a deep sigh rather than a scream or shout.

The power that is not proving, but inherent.

The power that is slow and steady.

I know there are so many of us who long for that kind of power, and so many of us who embody it.

It is easy to feel like that kind doesn't matter as much, isn't as valuable, perhaps doesn't even "sell."

It's easy to get lost in comparison in the real world BUT ESPECIALLY in the online space.

I just want you to know that your power matters and is needed, even if you don't see it everywhere.

Your power is the river that forms the deep canyons - slow, deep, steady, unwavering, flowing.

Your power is the gentle rain in the desert that causes the cactuses to fruit and bloom.

Your power is a deep cuddle and a homecooked meal.

Your power is the space for breath and silence.

Your power is the moon - impacting the rhythm of the whole world simply by being.

We need that.

We need YOU.
